NEWS: Stretch Armstrong Movie - Now Lautner-Free

With Battleships and The Micronauts both getting the big screen treatment (although the latter is still ''in development'' and probably will remain so for a number of years yet) it comes as no surprise to see Hasbro pimping their other brands for the big screen treatment.

Now it's the turn of the rubber-limbed, whatever-you-do-don't-puncture-him-otherwise-you'll-get-goo-everywhere action figure, Stretch Armstrong.

NEWS: New 481 Universe Drop Coming... When You Want It To?

Ni, the brains behind the awesome 481 Universe line of Glyos-compatible accessories and stand-alone figures has just posted this rather awesome sneak peek of his upcoming releases - which are, as you'd expect, superb. But perhaps what's even more interesting is Ni's accompanying comment:

NEWS: Galaxxor's Cyborg Space Barbarian General Gorgax

From the cryptically-entitled All Your Bases Are Belong to General Gorgax post at the Galaxxor Blog, I think it's safe to assume that the figure featured in the accompanying photos is the aforementioned General. 

Beyond that - and the fact that this appears to be based upon a Masters Of The Universe sculpt (I'm sure fans of that series will be able to confirm this) - we know nothing of this new collectible figure. We're assuming it's a Ben Spencer design brought to life by his usual collaborator, The GodBeast but that's pure speculation on our part. And the Galaxxor Blog's comment that ''The Cyborg Space Barbarian invasion has begun'' doesn't help much, either.

Consider our interest very much piqued...

I have to admit that I came to the Game Of Thrones party late, having missed the original broadcast of Season One and only just recently catching the entire thing via On Demand (and if you've not seen it yet and can do the same, do so immediately, as it's superb.) So now, as you can imagine, April 1st can't come soon enough for me, especially now I've seen this rather awesome trailer.

Note that although this is trailer is not particularly explicit, it is a teaser for a show featuring adult themes and so may not be suitable for younger viewers.

Doctor Who's Matt Smith took a moment following his win at the UK National Television Awards to discuss his future with the show. His comments, however, appear to have left some fans puzzled as to how much longer he'll be playing the renegade Time Lord. On the one hand, he expresses his enjoyment of working on the show and that he has ''no plans to leave.'' But then states that he has ''I've got a year of Who and then I'll take if from there...''

Given that the year in question would coincide with the show's 50th Anniversary, could we be seeing the Doctor regenerate once more as part of the celebrations? I'd hope not, as Smith's Doctor is a joy to watch and has breathed new life into the show. But as he himself says, ''[Doctor Who] is bigger than all of us...''
