With Wave 18 landing on shelves earlier this month (although I've seen no evidence of it myself) and now reports of Wave 19 joining it, it seems that the post-Avengers/Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Universe drought may be coming to an end.
For those keeping score, Wave 19 - which, in the above image, was snagged in Washington state - includes the Future Foundation Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch and She-Hulk (as seen above) along with a couple of re-issues (Falcon and Ghost Rider), plus Kang the Conqueror, a new Punisher and the Shattered Dimensions Spider-Man variant.
We'll be bringing you our Reviews of at least some of these figures just as we can actually find them
I saw 18 a couple weeks ago at Target and snagged a Beta Ray Bill. All the new figures were gone the following week. Haven't seen any since, but if you need Gladiator, one store has 7!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Nah, I snagged Gladiator when he first showed up. Why, I've no idea, as he's a pretty rubbish figure...
DeleteAnd Beta Ray Bill is on my ''to get'' list, although Kang, Kraven and She-Hulk are the ones I REALLY want. Oh and the FF Spidey, as I have the Future Foundation Fantastic Four set and I need him to join them!
Kraven's never been a particular favorite but I almost picked him up on seeing the figure. It's really nice looking! If you want, I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm between jobs right now so to keep myself busy I generally hit all the store in my area over a week.
DeleteI've always liked Spidey's Rogue's Gallery and Kraven is just such a proper Silver Age concept/character. I'm hoping to see them here soon, but if I don't have any luck I'll certainly take you up on that offer!
