NEWS: Catwoman Short To Premier At NYCC

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have announced the release of a 15-minute Catwoman animated short, set to debut next month at the New York Comic Con.

One of my favourite scenes from the comicbook, Batman: Year One, is done justice in this first clip from the upcoming animated adaptation of Frank Miller/David Mazzucelli's take on the Dark Knight's early career.

The upcoming direct-to-video animated feature, Batman: Year One is set to premiere at the San Diego Comic Con (Ballroom 20, July 22nd at 8PM for those in attendance.) But if you're not lucky enough to be attending - or you can't wait until then - Coming Soon has the trailer to whet your appetite before the movie's release on Blu-Ray, DVD and On-Demand later this month.

NEWS: Batman: Year One Teaser

We told you previously of DC's plans to adapt the seminal Batman: Year One to the screen in an upcoming animated feature. Now Warner Entertainment has released a ten-minute behind-the-scenes featurette that includes interviews with the directors and cast, explains the premise of the movie and gives a glimpse of some early pre-production images.

Whilst this is most welcome, given how little is shown I'm beginning to wonder if this movie is on-track for the ''Summer 2011'' release teased at the end or whether the previously-mentioned '"Fall 2011'' is a more realistic date.

It seems today is follow-up day... As we reported yesterday, Warner Bros. Animation is producing an animated adaptation of Frank Miller's classic re-imagining of the Caped Crusader's early days in Batman: Year One.
