NEWS: Assembleborg.net Now Live - Toys Available in US

We previously reported the rumblings but we can now confirm it: the Microman-inspired toys of Assemble Borg are now available for the first time in the US.

Kaiyodo's new website provides details (in slightly broken English at times, but still...) on this first wave of releases, entitled ''Chapter 1: Blast Off!!'' As well as providing an insight into the characters, concepts behind the line and the creators, the site - most importantly - provides Western fans with a way to purchase the toys online: which happens to be via Amazon.

Read on for more info...

The first wave consists of three humanoid figures, plus one vehicle.  Sadly, Kaiyodo have opted to go with the hero figures first and - to be honest - I don't think they're anywhere near as exciting as the villains of the piece.  Assemble Borg Baron is the stand-out figure for me from this wave (the others have too much of an Anime/Manga-ish look for my tastes) but it's the next wave I'm excited about.  As of yet, Kaiyodo have not given any details on when Chapter 2 (their next release) will appear, but hopefully it'll be soon, as the Jarknoids are what caught my eye and I'll certainly be interested in picking some of them up.

The figures retail at $29.99 (a price-point that qualifies for Amazon's free shipping) with the vehicle - a very funky motorbike that seems built from a LOT of parts - is $39.99.  As the orders are ''Fulfilled by Amazon'' the toys come directly from their storage facilities, so not only is delivery fast (and free) but your order is also assured.

You can find out more about the Assemble Borg range by visiting their official website or jump straight to their Amazon store here.
