It appears that the recently-announced sequel to Marvel's Thor may have secured a new director.
As we previously reported, Thor's director Kenneth Branagh announced he would be stepping-down from directorial duties but will remain attached to the project as producer. Now, according to HitFix a replacement for Branagh has been found in the form of HBO's Game of Thrones director Brian Kirk, who is in ''early negotiations'' with Marvel Pictures to helm Thor 2.
Marvel has yet to confirm or deny the director's attachment and it's clearly still early days, but it will be interesting to see where this goes.
Thor 2 is scheduled for released in 2013.
