Here's the TV Spot for Season 2 of TNT's sci-fi drama Falling Skies.

No word on when the show will return - beyond the vague date of ''Summer'' - but until then here's MTVGeek's behind-the-scenes feature, which should help tide you over until then.

Genre favourite Terry O'Quinn is set to join the cast of TNT's sci-fi drama, Falling Skies.

NEWS: Falling Skies Gets Second Season

Fans of the rather excellent Falling Skies (such as myself) will be pleased to hear that the show has been renewed for a second Season.

Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and TCM commented, "We’re reaching new audiences with 'Falling Skies' and look forward to seeing where this fascinating and exciting series takes us next."

Wright and Co certainly have every reason to be happy with the show. Launched to critical acclaim and with the pilot picking up a very healthy 8 million viewers, it's no wonder TNT are describing Falling Skies as ''cable's top series launch of 2011.''

Season 1 of Falling Skies is currently airing on TNT, Sundays at 10PM EST.

NEWS: Sunday TV Reminders

Just a quick reminder that today's GI Joe: Renegades and A Real American Hero marathon starts today at 1PM EST on The Hub. From what I gather they're alternating between the two shows and also adding Pop Up Video*-style info graphics to further enhance your viewing.

Tonight also sees the premiere of sci-fi series, Falling Skies, with the 2-hour opener airing at 9PM EST on TNT. If the critics are to be believed, this is one show you do not to miss.

NEWS: Falling Skies Premiere Sunday, Early Reviews Very Good

Just a quick reminder that this Sunday sees the 2-hour premiere of the Spielberg-produced sci-fi series, Falling Skies.

If you're still not sure about the show - and who can blame you after the number of decidedly average sci-fi shows we've been subjected to (V, The Event, I'm looking at you...) - then you may be pleased to hear that unlike most recent offerings, Falling Skies is actually pretty good, if the reviews at HitFix and The Hollywood Reporter are to be believed.

Falling Skies airs on Sunday, June 17th at 9 PM EST on TNT. 

NEWS: TNT's Falling Skies Promo

Falling Skies is a new series from US TV network, TNT, which tells the tale of a small settlement of people, survivors of an alien attack some six months earlier, who've grouped together to not only survive and rebuild but also to strike back.

Incredibly, I'd never even heard of it until I saw the update over at Bleeding Cool, which also includes a mini-review (it's described as  The Walking Dead but made for the whole family). You can also check-out the trailer here.

Falling Skies is set to debut in June on TNT.
