SPONSORED LINK: Marvel Masterworks Sentinel (SDCC Colours)

When Hasbro revealed that its second entry in the Marvel Masterworks line was to be the mutant-hunting robot Sentinel, fans of the X-Men rejoiced. However, that happiness turned to disappointment for many when it was later announced that the original colour scheme would be a San Diego Comic Con-exclusive release and the retail version would feature a different colourway.

Thankfully Hasbro has seen the error of its ways and is now giving the previous Con-exclusive Sentinel a retail release - and you can Pre-Order it now from Big Bad Toy Store.

Standing at 16'' tall (and trust me, that's huge when you compare it to the regular-scale Marvel Universe figures) and featuring a light-up and sound feature, multiple points of articulation and X-Men member Wolverine, the Sentinel is certainly worthy of the Masterworks title.

NEWS: Marvel Masterworks Sentinel Review and Gallery

The ToyArk brings us this review and gallery of Hasbro's Marvel Masterworks Sentinel, which fans of the line may be interested in reading before making their purchase...

Personally I'm still on the look-out of this toy (and hoping to score it as an early birthday present) but if you're on the fence then the review's criticisms and the gallery images may help make-up your mind either way.

NEWS: Marvel Masterworks Sentinel Spotted In Stores!

The second Marvel Masterworks figure - the mutant-hunting Sentinel - is hitting retail as we speak, according to The ToyArk, where forum member bnice posted these images of the giant robot, as spotted at his local Toys R Us.

It's worth noting though that Hasbro are rumoured to be changing this colourway to the more accurate San Diego Comic Con-exclusive palette, so you may want to consider that before rushing out and buying...

Standing at 16'' tall and featuring light-up and sound electronic play features, the Sentinel comes with X-Men member Wolverine - and as you can see from the above photo, he towers over the feral mutant.

REVIEW: Marvel Universe's Galactus

Doomed to hunger eternally for the energy locked within life-bearing planets, GALACTUS wanders the spaceways in his world ship.  His body is filled to bursting with the infinite Power Cosmic - a power that grants him absolute control over the fundamental nature of the universe around him.  The forces that rule the lives of lesser beings are meaningless to GALACTUS.  For him there is only the hunger he feels.

A small fragment of his vast might has been granted to the SILVER SURFER - greatest of his heralds.  Once a man like any other on his home planet of Zenn-La, the SILVER SURFER sacrificed his humanity to save his world.  His mind and body changed forever by the power he now wields, he serves GALACTUS absolutely and without question.  Together, herals and master are a force of nature, undeniable and inevitable.

Inhabited worlds across the universe live in constant fear of the day when the shadow of mighty GALACTUS darkens their skies, for it is on that day their world will end.  So it will be until the end of time, for GALACTUS cannot be deterred, and he cannot be stopped.  He will consume world after world until the universe completes its cycle and collapses in upon itself.  Once a new universe is born out of the old, great GALACTUS will rise, and feed again.

Phew.  I guess a big figure needs a big biography and they don't come much bigger than the Marvel Universe's Marvel Masterworks Galactus.
