SDCC 2012: Monsterforge's Mega Multiskull

Charles ''Monsterforge'' Marsh has been teasing his Facebook friends and followers for a while about an upcoming mystery project. Now - as seen at the San Diego Comic Con - it appears we may be getting a 12'' tall version of his popular OMFG! minifigure, Multiskull, according to Spanky Stokes. Here's hoping, as the sculpt work on that figure is phenomenal.

NEWS: Monsterforge's ''Pretty In Pink'' Multiskull

Friday, February 3rd, 9 PM EST sees the launch of Monsterforge's ''Pretty In Pink'' Multiskull. 

Originally released as part of the October Toys multi-collaborator OMFG! mini-figure line, Multiskull has now been cast in a brand new ''Pretty In Pink'' colourway. The figure will go on sale this Friday for a very reasonable $3 (plus $3 S&H in the USA) and is limited to a maximum of three figures per order.

We told you last month about OMFG!, a collaborative tribute project to the MUSCLE line of figures created by the posters at the October Toys Forums.

NEWS: OMFG! Series One Hits Funding Target

We told you earlier this week about the OMFG! Series One project over at Kickstarter.com.

The project required $11,000 to be completed, which was being raised through the Kickstarter program, where visitors pledged cash and - in return - received incentives/rewards, including stickers, figure sets and - for $5,000 - a visit to the October Toys studios for a weekend of toy making tutorials.

We're pleased to report that the project has reached its $11,000 target and so these very funky Monster In My Pocket-style figures will be going into production.

Long-time readers may know I've frequently lamented the demise of Monster in my Pocket and MUSCLE figures. I think there's a real gap in the market for a detailed-sculpt, monster/creature-based line of soft plastic toys. Well it seems I'm not the only one who thinks so.
