VIDEO VIEW: Man of Steel Trailer #2

It's always dangerous to make sweeping assumptions about movies based solely on their trailers - although it's never stopped me in the past - but I've got to say I'm kind of underwhelmed by this extended Man of Steel trailer. Here's hoping the final movie has a little more oomph to it.

NEWS: Justice League Casting Rumors and Updates

With the success of Marvel's The Avengers (and it's $1.3 squillion box office) it's not surprising to learn that Warner Brothers is looking to its own superhero team - the Justice League - with an eye to turning a similar profit. But just who will be donning the tights, cowl and spangly bustier of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman (hopefully, not in that order)?

NEWS: Official Plot Synopsis for Mad Max 4 Revealed

Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth installment in the Mad Max movie series (or the third in the Road Warrior series, depending how you look at it), which this time around sees The Dark Knight Rises' Tom Hardy stepping into Mel Gibson's worn-down boots and trading his respirator for a busted leather jacket -  and hopefully a bit of 'Strine.

NEWS: Live Action Green Arrow TV Show In Development

With ABC developing a series of Marvel-based shows (no surprise, given that Disney owns both ABC and The House Of Ideas), it comes as no surprise to learn that Time-Warner isn't resting on its laurels. Following the success - and subsequent completion - of Smallville - AKA Superman: The Early Years, we've also heard rumours of TV shows based on the characters of Deadman and The Spectre.

Now we can add another potential adaptation to the mix in the form of The Green Arrow.

We brought you the news yesterday that - following poor audience response - Warner Bros. had re-issued the Dark Knight Rises prologue with a new audio mix.

Now it seems Warner Bros. is denying any such changes.

NEWS: The Dark Knight Rises' Bane Overcomes Communications Issues

Although the six-minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises  - as seen during IMAX screenings of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - wowed audiences with its breathtaking stunts and action sequences, many were left somewhat confused as to what, exactly, they'd just seen, primarily due to the fact that the movie's chief villain, Bane, delivered most of his dialogue in a manner that was utterly unintelligible.

NEWS: Harry Potter Movies To Vanish From Shelves

Fans of the Harry Potter franchise who've yet to complete their DVD or Blu-Ray collection may want to rectify that very soon, as Warner Bros has announced that from December 29th they'll no longer be releasing copies of the movies to retail.

In a strategy similar to that employed by Disney, Warner Bros has instead announced plans to periodically re-release the movies, presumably emulating Disney's approach of  creating Collector/Anniversary Editions, available only for a limited period.

Digital and On Demand releases will remain unaffected.

VIDEO VIEW: First Batman: Year One Clip

One of my favourite scenes from the comicbook, Batman: Year One, is done justice in this first clip from the upcoming animated adaptation of Frank Miller/David Mazzucelli's take on the Dark Knight's early career.

Batman: Year One is set for release next month on DVD and Blu-Ray.

NEWS: Ending Of The Dark Knight Rises Is Like The KFC Recipe

Writer-Director Christopher Nolan is keen to protect the ending to the final installment in his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. So keen in fact that only five people - including Nolan - actually know it.

And that's not even the half of it.
