In a collision of retro-awesomeness so powerful it could destroy the universe, Plaid Stallions has shared this first look at their upcoming Mego-style 8'' Brick Mantooth in Micronaught form, a figure that pays tribute to two of the now-defunct toy giant's greatest lines.

A 10-figure limited run of Brick Mantooth: Micronaught will be available (hopefully) in early 2013, but until then you can check-out the retro goodness at Plaid Stallions for more info and images.

NEWS: 3A Tease Microman String Theory

We knew 3A were working on a line of licensed Microman (a toy range collectors in the West may know as Micronauts) - and so far, that was all we knew. But now we at least have the newly-released logo (as seen above) to go along with that information.

NEWS: Gold Dober's Flight Commander - Update

See, this is why I'd never be able to produce my own toys. Aside from the fact that I lack the sculpting and artistic ability to design and create the components, I also don't possess the frighteningly-intense levels of patience required to keep track of and then assemble each figure. The above image fills me with both excitement and terror.

Gold Dober, we salute you.

See more of the awesome Flight Commander at the Homeworld Blog.

Micronauts historian and superfan Ray ''AcroRay'' Miller's blog may not get updated that often, but when it does it's always worth a read. And his article on the recently-released New York Comic Con-exclusive Hasbro-themed comic, UNIT:E is no exception.

With some a synopsis of the comic - alongside some awesome scans - the post is definitely required reading for fans of the Microverse.

NEWS: UNIT:E Update

Despite what we'd hoped, it seems the UNIT:E project won't be heralding a new wave of toys from Hasbro.

The UNIT:E comicbook, pages of which can be seen at TFW2005.com, is described as ''love letter to the varied brands that Hasbro has had the pleasure of ushering into the world" and seems to have been written simply as an exercise in nostalgia for those attending the Con.

Bugger.

It may not all be doom and gloom, though. The closing outro from writer Andy Schmidt ends with the line ''Now, I wonder where this new Acroyear is off to...'' Is this perhaps a hint that maybe we'll be seeing more of the Micronauts soon? Here's hoping.
