Produced by Hasbro | Released August 2011

Not many beings can match the raw strength and power of SKAAR. The son of HULK has few weaknesses - his regenerative ability coupled with the Old Power inherited from his mother allow him to keep on fighting no matter the opponent or terrain. SKAAR has battled some of the world's worst villains and he's always emerged victorious!

REVIEW: McDonald's Happy Meal Smurfs - Smurfette

Produced for McDonald's | Released August 2011

The Smurfette was originally created by the horrible wizard Gargamel to cause trouble amongst the Smurfs. With a big nose and wild hair, she didn't originally look like much. Using his alchemy and knowledge, Papa Smurf transformed her into the charming Smurfette that melts the hearts of the other Smurfs. She is one of a kind, full of feminine grace and frivolous. She can also be very much a woman, playing with the feelings of her sweethearts.

VIDEO VIEW: Sky Commanders

If they were to be released today, Sky Commanders would probably be capable of flight. And to me that would make them a lot less fun, as part of the appeal here is the idea of stringing zip-lines all around the house...

REVIEW: Marvel Universe's Falcon

Produced by Hasbro | Released August 2011

FALCON was not born a hero. His rise to friend and ally of CAPTAIN AMERICA took hard work and a little luck. Ironically, it was the evil RED SKULL who introduced the two men and imparted FALCON with the extrasensory ability to communicate with birds. FALCON can fly like a bird of prey by harnessing the power of advanced wing suits. His grace, skill and precision in the sky is unmatched by any human.

I'm sure sometimes the universe is just conspiring to piss me off.

VIDEO VIEW: M.A.S.K. Switchblade, Rhino and Thunder Hawk Commercial

To be honest, I'm not entirely convinced why the helicopter has to transform into a jet to become more bad-ass... But still, that aside, this is a great example of what I think is missing from child-orientated commercials now: kids using their imagination and playing with their toys. Now it's all stage school brats in light-up sneakers singing Lady Gaga songs...

NEWS: Lis Sladen Autobiography

Fans were shocked by the untimely passing of Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures star Lis Sladen earlier this year. The 65-year old actor had been battling cancer for some time prior to her passing and although filming was not completed on the fourth season of The Sarah Jane Adventures the BBC has announced it will be airing four of the proposed six adventures as a tribute to Ms Sladen.

At the time of her passing Ms Sladen had also been working on the first draft of her autobiography, which is now poised for release.

NEWS: Matty Collector Explains Battleground Evil-Lyn Design

It seems a lot of Masters of the Universe Classics fans were upset to hear that the upcoming Battleground Evil-Lyn would not be featuring the more up-to-date female buck (''buck'' is the term used in the toy industry to describe a basic body sculpt/type) and - as a result - would lack certain points of articulation and detail seen on other female figures.

Now Mattel has explained the reasoning behind the use of this older buck.
