NEWS: Thundercats 2011 Toys In Stores Now
In a press release too lengthy to repeat here, Mattel has announced that the new line of toys created to tie-in with the 2011 reboot of the 80s classic animated series, Thundercats, are in store now. Given the length of that sentence, perhaps I should apply for a post writing press releases...
You can read the full thing over at Action Figure Insider, who also snapped a rather snazzy gallery of the toys at the San Diego Comic Con.

NEWS: Yet More GI Joe 2 Casting Rumours
And the rumour mill keeps turning, as Bleeding Cool reports that English MMA fighter and actor Alex Reid has been boning-up on his GI Joe lore with a view to scoring a role in the upcoming GI Joe 2.
Personally I'm still holding out for Jason Statham as Beachhead (even if he has to adopt a dodgy accent.)

NEWS: Glen Mazzara Takes Over as The Walking Dead's Showrunner
After yesterday's surprise announcement that Frank Darabont had stepped-down as Showrunner on AMC's The Walking Dead, news has emerged that his successor has already been appointed in the form of Glen Mazzara.
Mazzara certainly seems to be the right man for the job. After all, he was Darabont's #2 during both Seasons and wrote Season 1's Wildfire. From a production point-of-view his appointment also makes sense and will hopefully ensure the completion of Season 2 without too much disruption during the transition. Whether Mazzara will retain his role for Season 3 - or even if there will be a third Season - has yet to be confirmed.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 16th.
